Disappointing economic news have stocks trading slightly lower heading into the lunch hour. Only 119,000 jobs were added in the private sector last month according to the ADP report. Economists were expecting 170,000. Factory orders also dipped in March by 1.5%, the biggest drop in three years according to the Commerce Department.
The Dow is down 27 points, the Nasdaq is up 4 points and the S&P 500 is down 4 points.
Great Wall Builders Ltd. (OTC:GWBU) is up 51.25% today at $0.6050. GWBU has seen more than 6 million shares traded hands today as it hits a new high of day. Great Wall Builders announced yesterday a new chairman and directors. This could be a new pump getting started as this is the first day with any meaningful volume and the news isn’t anything earth shattering.
Universal Bioenergy Inc. (PINK:UBRG) is up 44.37% today at $0.0231. UBRG has traded 19.2 million shares so far today, well above its daily average of 4 million shares. UBRG announced today its subsidiary NDR Energy signed a contract with the largest gas utility in U.S. for natural gas storage.
Integrated Biopharma Inc. (OTC:INBP) is up 380% today at $0.12. INBP has traded 2.3 million shares so far today and hit an intraday high of $0.19 earlier. INBP has seen no news today to explain the big jump in volume and percentage move. This could also be a smaller promotion going on with this stock.

Stocks have rallied slightly today thanks to good consumer confidence data. The Consumer Confidence Index was over 70 this month, blowing past analysts estimates of 63. In afternoon trading, the Dow is up 18 points, the Nasdaq is up 17 points and the S&P 500 is up 3 points.
On the penny stock front, CBIS and LOGL continue to trend higher. URBG and MJNA also posted big gains today.

Legend Oil & Gas, Ltd. (OTCBB:LOGL) is up 18.18% today at $1.43. LOGL is up more than $0.50 over the past week. LOGL continues to trade big volume every day and has traded 4.2 million shares so far today. LOGL typically trades 468 thousand shares.
Universal Bioenergy (PINK:UBRG) is up 96.61% this afternoon at $0.0580. UBRG has traded 19.8 million shares today, above its average of 1.1 million shares. Universal Bioenergy announced yesterday it projects a major surge in sales to top $200 million in the next 12 months.
Medical Marijuana, Inc. (PINK:MJNA) is up 86.21% in afternoon trading at $0.0540. MJNA has traded 18.3 million shares today, while the stock usually trades only 1.5 million. MJNA is higher today after announcing it completed financing agreement with CannaBANK Inc for up to four million dollars to complete several key acquisitions.

The overall market is rallying today as a positive jobs report sent the major indices up over a percent each. The Labor Department reported jobs numbers of 244,000, well above the analyst prediction of 185,000. Overall the market is rallying big time today after the positive jobs report was released. Penny stocks continue to do their normal thing with LEXG still leading the pack in terms of volume. Will traders still be interested in LEXG next week? Who knows but it should be interesting to watch.
