Caduceus Software Systems Corp. (OTCBB:CSOC) is up 78.01% at $0.0340 with an intraday high of $0.0390. CSOC has traded 13.5 million shares so far today, well above its daily average of 2.1 million shares. Caduceus announced it plans to integrate a cloud platform with its software systems.

Another volatile day in penny stock land with multiple winners and few stocks tanking. On the broader market the top indexes are enjoying a bullish start to February. Riding optimistic data points the Dow is up over 120 points, while the Nasdaq is tacking on nearly 40. The rally is on the heels of the Amazon miss last night, so it looks like the overall market is shrugging that off.

The top penny stocks to watch today include North Springs Resources (OTCBB:NSRS), Advanced Cell Technology (OTCBB:ACTC) and Ecoland International Inc. (OTCBB:ECIT).

NSRS is the pump that just won’t fade into oblivion. Up over 10% today, North Springs continues to release press releases at a fever pitch. Yesterday the company announced that it is now active in three gold exploration projects. NSRS continues to develop their Goldstar project. Volume today is heavy but off its highs set earlier in January. Currently nearly 8 million shares have changed hands in intra-day trading.

Advanced Cell Technology is enjoying a bit of a bounce today after its negative streak of the past week. Currently up over 15%, the company announced on Monday that is was Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland for a second site of its clinical trials. Volume is heavy today with the stock trading double its 3-month average. Right now over 35 million shares have been traded as the market enters its final hour of trading.

Ecoland International is continuing its improbably run, up another 12% in intra-day trading. The company is riding a huge run fto well over a dollar. Today ECIT announced that they were signing a Letter of Intent to manufacture water treatment systems for Judo Water. Volume continues to be heavy, though it is off yesterday’s levels. Nearly 4 million shares have been traded so far today as the market heads into the close.

Overall the market is being buoyed by optimism that the recovery is finally here to stay. Outstanding issues still remain like the Greek debt and overall fiscal solvency of the EU. Couple that with the dysfunctional political process here domestically and all the positive data points in the world may not be enough to get the economy on a solid footing.

Not a lot going on in penny stocks today. The overall market is weaker in midday trading as economic data released earlier this morning disappointed. Consumer confidence, manufacturing data and housing prices all fell over the past month. This has sent the stock market down after it had opened higher. The Dow is losing 70 points right now, the Nasdaq is off 9 points and the S&P is down about 5 points.

Penny stocks aren’t seeing a lot of action right now with ECIT and VPER the only ones posting significant gains.

Ecoland International Inc. (OTCBB:ECIT) is up again today with gains of over 24%. ECIT is currently trading at $1.03 and was as high as $1.07 this morning. ECIT shares have more than doubled since last Wednesday on news that its subsidiary D&R Technology was awared a contract to manufacture and develop tooling for a new 2012 Toyota vehicle. ECIT has traded 2.3 million shares so far today.

Viper Networks Inc. (OTC:VPER) is up 95.24% today at $0.0041 and saw a high of $0.0056 shortly after market open. VPER has traded 84 million shares so far today. VPER shares have been trending higher this week after LEDs America awarded the company exclusivity in India and Saudi Arabia for all LED-O products on Monday.

The overall market looked weaker today as concerns over Europe’s debt crisis began growing again. Greece still doesn’t have a deal and has been bickering with Germany over how it should handle its finances. All the major indices are all negative heading into the close. The Dow is down 16 points, the Nasdaq is down 5 and the S&P is down 4.

Treaty Energy Corp. (OTC:TECO) is up 84.78% right now at $0.0850 and hit an intraday high of $0.13 earlier this morning. TECO shares climbed after the company announced it struck oil in Belize. TECO has traded 42.9 million shares so far today.

Mediasafe 1 Technologies (OTCBB:MFTH) is up 86.67% today at $0.0280 with an intraday high of $0.0360. MFTH gaped at open to its intraday high and then fell slightly throughout the day. So unless you already had it, you couldn’t really make money on it. MFTH shares rose after the company announced it is advancing negotiations to acquire lifesaving medical technologies.

Ecoland International Inc. (OTCBB:ECIT) is up 37.17% today at $0.7750 with an intraday high of $0.79. ECIT has traded 4.8 million shares so far today. ECIT shares have jumped more than $0.20 over the past few days.

Proteonomix Inc. (OTCBB:PROT) is up 34.04% today at $4.45 with an intraday high of $4.70. PROT has traded 367 thousand shares so far today, way above its daily average of 33 thousand shares. PROT shares have been trending higher all month after Proteonomix announced IRB (institutional review board) approval for its clinical trial of UMK-121.

AAMRQ has traded 15.2 million shares so far today and trades 34.4 million shares a day on average. AAMRQ is a bankrupt company, so when it comes out of bankruptcy these shares will be worthless. The company has a market cap of 238.31 million.

Ecoland International Inc. (OTCBB:ECIT) is up 73.39% today at $0.40. D&R Technology, a subsidiary of Ecoland International, was awarded a contract to manufacture and develop tooling for new 2012 Toyota vehicle. ECIT has traded 4.6 million shares so far today

Cord Blood America (OTCBB:CBAI) is up 55.91% today at $0.0435 with an intraday high of $0.0451. CBAI has traded 9.4 million shares so far today. CBAI shares are up more than 100% over the past two weeks.
