AFPW had been in a downtrend during the summer going from a high of over $0.01 in late May down to less $0.002. That all changed in early October when the company had big news. AlumiFuel announced on October 6 they received an Air Force Contract for its PBIS-2000 Portable Balloon Inflation System. The contract is for the Air Force Special Operations Command and requires delivery of the system by the end of February 2012. Following this news AFPW began to run. On the day of the news announcement, AFPW ran from $0.002 to $0.003. The next day, AFPW exploded and went up to nearly a penny in intraday trading before closing at around $0.0065.
